• Mom:  Dirk's parents must be sadistic people if they want him to grow up being made fun of of every day at school and work.What a stupid name for a kid, of course he'll get made fun of.
• Me:  
• Mom:  I'm sure this is how it goes: he's harrassed and has evil parents so he drops out of school and runs away, and next thing you know Dirk is a bum on the streets because nobody would hire a Dirk!
• Me:  
• Mom:  If you have children someday I hope you'll spare them the agony of naming them something ridiculous like Dirk.
• Me:  ok
